Paul came to Harvard in 2006 and is currently the department’s Senior Concert Technician, primarily responsible for the Sanders Theatre and Paine Hall Steinway model D concert grand pianos. His credits there include participation in two Grammy nominated classical music recordings. Since its opening in 1999, Paul has been the Concert Technician at Futura Productions recording studio (aka The Sonic Temple) in the Roslindale section of Boston.
As part of his duties there, he was responsible for the care and maintenance of all of the performance instruments, including the Steinways in Jordan Hall. Paul was Manager of Piano Services at the New England Conservatory of Music from 1999 to 2001. He has specialized in concert tuning, preparation for performance and recording, action repair and rebuilding, and complete grand piano restoration.
